The Speed Skating Track for the Basic Skills Program introduces beginning speed skating techniques to skaters after they have learned the basic fundamentals covered in Basic levels 1-4.  The techniques include: basic positions, edges, turns, starts, and speed development.  skaters should be ready to race after completing Speed 1-6.

The Speed Skating Program is offered to anyone who is interested.  Exsisting Hockey players or Figure Skating  can use this as a supplement to strengthen muscles and increase speed.
