Guest Coaches
NICKOLAI NOVIK: As a member of the U-16 Belarus Ice Hockey Team, Nikolai was a World Champion. In his hockey career, he has played on teams that have one numerous European and National Championships and Tournaments. He is an experienced coach of both Ice Hockey, Mixed Mar-tial Arts and physical training and combines the three in a unique program that develops skill, strength, speed, disci-pline and endurance.

KRYSTYN ELEK: Krystyn’s hockey success came from the most unlikely origins. Playing in goal for various incarnations of the Charleston-based youth boys teams of the Carolina Amateur Hockey Association, her success earned her an op-portunity at The Lawrenceville School, which ultimately placed her between the pipes at Amherst College (where in her first weekend she set a school record for saves). She has coached in Philadelphia at Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation and founded Quick Feet Goalie Clinics. A two sport coach and athlete, Krystyn is the Rugby Coach at Smith College.

Plus The Steel Foundations Coaching Staff:

Evgeniy Sviridov: Power Skating: As an Olympian (Salt Lake City, 2002), Evgeniy brings years of experience in the demanding Russian training program to Steel Foundations. Hockey success begins from great skating and few players will ever have the oppor-tunity to learn from a skating expert with such esteemed credentials.

Steffan Kollevoll: Hockey Fundamentals: Steffan’s award-winning playing career includes USAH National Championships, and stints at the Vermont Academy and Hobart College. More impor-tantly, he joins Steel Foundations with impressive coaching experi-ence at the Rick Heinz Hockey School, Breakaway International Hockey Clinic, the Europe-bound Allentown Ambassadors and has mentored a range of young hockey students at Hobart and in the Lehigh Valley.

Tom Malm: Hockey Director: Coach Tom has a history of accom-plishment in hockey that includes a range of National, State and League Championship appearances. Named South Carolina’s Coach of the Year in 2005, he has built a reputation for raising the expectations of his players and producing consistently improved results in every coaching position he has held.
